MONSTER Trucks!

Loud.  That's all I have to say about them.  This was my first Monster Truck experience, and I had no idea what to expect.  Luckily my hubby brought some ear plugs, or else I would have come back from the show deaf.  It was fun to get out with Bret and my sweetie, even if attending a Monster Truck show is not ranked up super high on my favorite things to do list.  Not only did they have Monster trucks, but they also had Motocross tricksters (very impressive) as well as some other custom made vehicles that raced around the track.  There was some excitement when a truck turned over on the tracks and started smoking... once a truck even went up over the wall and got stuck!  It was a fun night out with my boys!
Uh oh!
Smiles :)
This one's a little better, managed to get all three of us in the shot!

Look up you can see a dirtbike jumper catching some serious air!
Had to catch some of these stunts on video:

Jump Around

Jump up jump up and get down.  Pure delight for two energetic little girls.  We tried out this kid paradise called the Jump Around in Salt Lake.  We will definitely have to make more trips to this bouncy heaven.  The girls never wanted to leave, they LOVED it.  Its always fun for me to watch the girls so excited.  :)

P!nk Concert

Finally!  I can say I've been to a concert... and not just any concert, it was a Pink concert, and it was awesome.  I'm glad I got to share my first concert experience with my sweetie pie.
A looong time ago, back in college at UC Davis, I bought tickets to a Pink concert.  I was so disappointed when Pink cancelled her tour so I didn't get to go.  When I saw that she was coming to Salt Lake, I thought I'd buy tickets again and finally get to see her perform.  Her original show was scheduled in October... and she cancelled on me again!  But this time it was rescheduled for January, which actually worked out even better since it wasn't in the midst of all the wedding planning, which can be stressful.
Pink's show did not disappoint!  There were all kinds of acrobatic tricks, songs I love, and best of all, a handsome man by my side as my date!  :)
Our seats were actually not too bad, on the floor with a nice view of the stage.
The amazing effects of thousands of cell phone lights...
A very fit Pink
Rockin it!
Mwa!
Pink is hanging upside down here... while singing!  Quite impressive...
More acrobatic tricks inside the spinny ball...
Pink slows it down with some acoustic guitar
She flies through the arena, quite the performer!

Check out these videos I was able to take at the concert:  Wow!

One of my favorite Pink songs :)
Loved it!

Fun At Nana & Papa's House

These girls are definitely loved by many. And how could you not love them? They are just so lovable! I know their nana and papa miss them since they don't get to see them as often now that we've moved away from Logan. The girls miss nana and papa lots too.  Since we drive up to Logan often for the girls to see their dad, it is nice when they can squeeze in some nana/papa time too.  My parents sent these pictures of some good times they had with the girls during their visit with them.  They had a blast playing in the snow with papa!  Looks like they were able to do some sledding and snowball making.  What fun!

McKel all bundled up and adorable!

Here are a few videos my mom sent me of their fun snow day:

Hair Cut!

Time to chop the lovely locks. It was just time, I am so tired of the time it takes to dry and style all that hair.  My fabulous hair dresser, Sarah Hernandez did this amazing cut for me, inspired by the Jennifer Aniston "Friends" cut :)  Thanks Sarah!  Love it!!

Soccer Shots

The girls' daycare had sign ups for a program called Soccer Shots, which I thought sounded like a great idea. Let's see how the girls enjoy soccer! They have a soccer coach who teaches them some basic skills every Friday. The girls love it. Avril is an excellent listener and does everything exactly as the coach tells her. McKel is all about having fun, and takes off with the soccer ball, practicing her own set of soccer skills. This was a winter program, supposed to be indoors, but luckily we had some nice weather days for the girls to play outside.  So...here are some shots of the girls at Soccer Shots :)
Avril has the big red flower in her hair, facing away...McKel waits for the action to get started!

Thought for the Day...

Just saw this quote on Facebook and wanted to have it to remember so I'm posting it:

"Remember, it's always better to be at the bottom of the ladder you want to climb than the top of the one you don't.  Hapiness and success is all about spending your life in your own way.  Always be yourself and walk your own path.  No one can ever tell you you're doing it wrong.  Everyone has their own dreams, their own sturggles, and a different path that makes sense for them.  You are YOU for a reason.  Just remember, the smartest and most courageous act is simply to think for yourself and listen to your own intuition.  In the end, it's better to die your way, than live someone else's idea of your life."  - Marc and Angel Hack Life- Practical Tips for Productive Living

Laundry Raider

Mike took this picture of McKel raiding the dryer, searching for a pajama shirt. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go get it!  This girl makes us smile :)
