Nothing But Adorableness...

We are blessed to have an amazing artist in the family.  Nana can draw just about anything, and make it look incredible.  For the up and coming Race For A Cause Pancake Run, she agreed to draw cutie critters on kids' faces.  Here are some samples with precious model girls displaying her talent:
McKel with a duck-face :)
Avril chose a beautiful butterfly...
And look what the Herald Journal printed in the paper!!!  This was pretty exciting for us :)
The girls got some new clothes/shoes recently from their dad, and wanted to do a little fashion show, so nana captured a few photos:
Totally appropriate shirt for McKel
Another adorable Avril pic with the sweet butterly displayed
Spiffy new sparkly shoes!
Avril wanted to try out a little HEEL!
A minnie-dress!
A baby visitor!  And creamies, of course!  Always fun at Grandma Joyce's house :)

Finally a SWEET Camera!

This was the first time we tried out our fancy new Canon digital professional camera... We traveled up to Logan to get the girls and visit with the family... a perfect time to take advantage of some photo opps!  We are sort of getting the hang of it, but would love to take a photography class to really learn what the camera is capable of.  I must say though, I was pretty impressed with the photos we amateurs were able to take.
Mike took this pic of me... yay!  I finally make it in to a picture on the blog!!
Swingsets never get old for these girls!

Captured a smile! :)
Sweet swinging sisters...
Another happy girl! (Princess Avril)
I was able to get a little bit better lighting on this one...
Beautiful brown-eyed sweetheart
Another brown-eyed sweetheart
Simply adorable
Captured a smile from Mike!
McKel likes to do things the hard way...
Profile Avril shot
McKel on the deer in front of Grandma Joyce's house.  They can never visit without climbing up on the deer.  What's so funny about this is that I remember Jared and I doing the very same thing when we were little, every single time we came to visit!  Pretty neat memories...
She made it up!
And here are a couple practice shots taken in the truck from our drive:

I am loving the new SWEET camera.  Can't get enough of these two cute girls...

Gratitude

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
I don't get out to run much anymore, unfortunately.  Life/work take so much of my day.  I wish I did get out more though, because when I do...this is what I see:
The sunrise from our neighborhood....
I am so grateful for my family, my health, and the little things that bring me joy- like a beautiful sunrise... and cuddles, hugs, and cute sayings from the kids!

Gateway Mall- Fun In The Sun

Aunt Trish invited us to come play in the sunshine at the Gateway Mall splash pad.  The girls had some good ol' water fun, ate their melty ice cream, and then we ventured over to the Discovery Museum.  Nothing a mom loves more than seeing her kids happy and enjoying themselves!
Avril timidly enters the wetness...
Aunt Trish cradles Edison so he can enjoy the water fun as well.
McKel looks like she has sprouted a goatee!  Haha, she can't help but look adorable!
This just makes me smile big :)
One of my favorite shots of the girls.  They are having a blast, and their cute, messy faces show it!
Trish and Edison enjoying some sweet treats as well!
Parker loved his ice cream as well...
Avril hard at work at the Discovery Museum...
A handsome man, who I happen to be married to.
McKel fills up the gas tank!
notice her different colored shoes... in classic McKel attire
The girls take turns riding a horse! (luckily this one doesn't move)
Yee haw!
Avril was thrilled to try out her rock climbing skills.  And she definitely had

And here we have a Little Mermaid girl...
Check out McKel's bold new wig!
See what I mean?  Cute, no matter what she puts on!
A little black light effect... those are some pearly whites Mike has!
This is one sweetie pie girl :)
We worked up an appetite!  Time for some Rumbi Island Grill to eat... (mom came straight from work, as evidenced by the lovely Chase apparel)
Love spending time with the fam!!  :)

This Is The Life...

Kids have it made...Chauffeurs to drive you around and get you where you need to go... and endless hours of fun!  I am so glad these girls are happy.  Here are a few pics that I believe Mike took of the girls on a trip back from Logan:
Smiley girl!
And sleepy girl...
And this is what they did in the back of the truck when they got home:
Cousin Brittney let the girls take her pink Disney TV.  The girls decided it would be a good idea to watch Strawberry Shortcake in the bed... truck bed, that is!
Love these girls.
