It was no surprise to me that Avril's kindergarten teacher had nothing but positive things to say about Avril. It was no surprise either, that her report card looked as close to perfect as you can get. Mrs. Hanna said that Avril is one of her best students, always eager to learn, and scoring above average on every academic test she had taken. She is a sweetheart- loving, kind, and thoughtful. All those things I already knew! But it is always nice to hear from someone who is teaching your child. I am so proud of my sweetie pie. She is such a joy to have in my life. I love you, sweet Avril girl.
Here it is! She is such a smart girl!! I'm a proud mama.

Pumpkin Painting
We grew some very impressive-sized pumpkins in the garden this year. Instead of carving jack-o-lanterns, we thought of an idea that was a little less destructive to the pumpkin... pumpkin painting! Avril's favorite activity in the whole world is painting, so of course she was all for it. I pulled out the fancy camera and got some pretty fantastic photos, even if I do say so myself!
And now for the fun, goofy pictures! :)
I gave McKel a leaf to paint, and Avril a turkey! |
Lots of Fall colors... |
Avril was so focused on getting it just perfect... |
She was able to paint within the lines quite nicely. |
Two sweet girls |
My two pumpkins painting pumpkins! |
Avril is so happy to be painting a pumpkin! |

Notice we still have the Halloween skeleton hanging from the light fixture in the background... |
Avril really is an amazing artist |
And she loves it! |
She was so careful to get it just right... |
and even signed her autograph on it |
Coming along beautifully |
Painting sisters |
I think this is one of my all-time favorite pics of the girls |
McKel's finished masterpiece |
Avril even added the details on the feathers, as well as smiley faces and hearts, all by herself! |
