Since the daycare is right next to our apartment, Matthew will sometimes stop by for a quick visit with the girls after he is picked up from daycare. He likes to run into their bedroom and hop on the bunk bed, hoping that dad won't make him come down and leave.
Avril loses her very first tooth! So exciting. It has been wiggling around like crazy in her mouth. Unfortunately, she lost the tooth! She does not remember it ever coming out, so my guess is that she swallowed it! We had to leave a note for the tooth fairy, explaining why there was no tooth to leave under the pillow. I am sure it happens, so she will understand :)
Aunt Trish is always full of fun activities to participate in. She called and invited us to attend a hot air balloon event in Park City and it sounded like a great way to spend a Saturday morning, so we got up early and made the drive over. Sara and Matthew, our good friends, decided to come on the adventure as well. It was a beautiful morning and I brought the fancy camera to get some fantastic shots of the balloons:
so many bright colors
paradise balloon
watching them land was a treat
kinda makes me want to take a ride!

Such a fun day with friends and gorgeous views!! :)
Avril's 1st Grade teacher, Cathy Woolf, has a facebook page for their class, and she always posts pictures of recent activities. This is awesome for parents to get to see what the kids have been up to. Here are a few recent photos I stole from their facebook page:
Our plan when we buy the duplex is to gut the bathroom and Mike will have the fun job of remodeling it. This is one of the first things we will do. Here are a few before shots I snapped of the bathroom:
the street view from the bathroom window
the gross tub
cupboards over the washer/dryer
sink
I wish I would've taken more... I will come back to these photos when I compare them to the final finished product!
Our friend Matthew turned 4 this year, so we got to go to his superhero party. McKel was especially excited, since she LOVES superheroes! They had a pinata and pizza and cake. The girls had a blasty blast.

and finally... the cake!
Thanks for inviting us to your birthday party, Matthew! We had a great time :)
Sometimes McKel will ask me to take a picture of her. This was one of those times. So here is a pic of McKel sitting on the majestic lion at the zoo :)
McKel's first gymnastics class. I figure that McKel was made to be a gymnast. She is athletic, strong, flexible, and a powerhouse little girl. I enrolled her in a gym class which is held at a local aquatic center. It's fun to watch this little dynamite girl in action. For a first timer, I'm pretty impressed with her skills :)
