Keenan still loves his baths. He gets so excited when he hears the water running and he knows what's coming. He plays with the water and gets a big smile on his face. Then he gets mad when he sees you starting to get his towel ready to take him out 😡

Almost half way through my maternity leave 😢 don't want to leave this little guy...
The girls see baby Keenan do so many adorable things all the time, they are constantly asking for my phone to take a photo or a video of him. Everything he does is the cutest thing they have ever seen 💕 It's sweet.
Poor Keenan has been getting lots of baby acne. It seems to help clear it up when we get him all cleaned up in the bath, but it is a little sad to see his perfect, beautiful face with all the bumps. I'm not really sure what causes it. But he's still adorable.

Now lets shift the focus away from baby cuteness for a little bit and focus on little girl cuteness. I am so proud of Avril for all she does academically. She just loves to learn and loves a good challenge. She completed all of the goals necessary to achieve her Excellent Eagle Award at her school. We went to a ceremony to honor all the students who achieved this honor. Avril was a happy girl!

We love to practice tummy time with Keenan. He is such a strong little guy!
Keenan is officially 1 month old today! We love him more than words can say. He is already rolling over. We think that Keenan has a determined personality. He is stubborn and wants to accomplish things and does not give up. If he decides he is going to roll over, he will fight and fight until he does. If he decides he is not going to go to sleep, he will fight and fight until we are all exhausted from trying to make him. He is just an amazing little boy. cryingKeenan rolls over

We are so happy and grateful to have Keenan in our family. Our hearts are smitten. He is adorable in every way. Keenan always looks at you with a look of curiosity. He often has a furrowed brow, like, "what are you talking about?" "Please tell me more, I want to learn about EVERYTHING." We all adore him and enjoy making fools of ourselves trying to get a smile from him. He is a wonderful baby. Mom is sad that she only has 2 months left before going back to work. It is hard to imagine being away from this little sweetie pie.

You have to get creative sometimes in order to get anything done. I tried to be ambitious and get the Baby Bjorn out so that I could accomplish a few things around the house, besides baby holding. Keenan allowed me about a good half hour of doing other things, while he chilled out in the bjorn.
I volunteered to help with Avril's class field trip to Red Butte Garden. Avril has been anxious to show off her baby brother, and I thought it would be fun for Keenan to get out and experience the outdoor beauty, so off we went! We also made a stop to pick up McKel so that she would get to join in on the fun.
This girl could not contain her excitement. She was SO happy to get to have an outing with her baby brother.
Keenan was pretty content to sleep through most of the field trip. All the kids oohed and aahed at his cuteness!

It was an exhausting day, but I'm glad the girls made some happy memories with their new little brother. Time to go to gymnastics now!
