YAY! A promotion for me!!

When I started my job at the University of Utah, department of pediatrics, Clinical Trials Office, I took an entry level position as a billing specialist.  I found the work fascinating and loved how they allowed me some flexibility with my schedule (SO different from Chase).  It was a small pay cut but totally worth it.  Plus the benefits were about a million times better than at the bank.
I have been working hard to work my way up the ladder within my office, and recently received a promotion from billing specialist to accountant.  Woo hoo!  The next step is financial analyst, which I plan to work toward.
The other wonderful thing about my office is the people I work with.  I came to work in the morning to find a surprise plate of cookies and decorations.  How nice is that?!!

One Tough Hike!

We recently got to visit with Papa Dennis and were able to get an adorable Keenan pic with his granddad 😊

Mom decided we should all go on an adventurous hike.  I remembered a hike that Mike and I did before, without the kids, that ended up at a beautiful lake.  It didn't seem like it would be too hard for me to do with the 3 kids.  As it turned out, we made it, but not without some difficulties.  The girls made a LOT of stops and complained most of the way about how tired they were.  Good thing I brought drinks and snacks!  And I had to hide behind a tree in a secret spot to nurse Keenan because I was worried about him getting dehydrated after the long hike.  But in the end, we made it.  And I'm pretty sure the girls thought the effort put in was worth it when they got to enjoy the nice cold lake water to play in.

Final Soccer Game of the Season...

The girls were very excited to play in their final game because they get trophies... actually this season they got medals, which were just as exciting for them.  They both played hard and I was very proud of them.  The coach even asked if McKel would sign up for the pro-leagues.  She is that good.  I would consider it, but just don't think we have time for that at this point, unfortunately...

Avril has been taking a ballet class at Tanner Dance.  This is her end of the year performance.  Always fun to watch your kids perform :)

3 Months! And Back to Work...

Coming Back to Work and leaving my sweet, perfect baby boy is not easy.  We are happy with the sitter that we found to watch him, but not excited to not get to be with him all the time anymore.  And not excited to pay lots of money to someone to watch our baby boy.  But it will be good for all of us, I'm sure.
Keenan is 3 months old now.  He officially can roll over completely on his own.  He pretty much mastered it right on his 3 month birth-date.  He seems pretty advanced developmentally.  It probably helps that his dad works with him to try to make him a big, strong baby!
