We also had to complete a Science Fair Project for McKel. We chose to measure the temperature of water and see if the heat retains better in an insulated glass or one without insulation. It was a struggle to do this with a kindergartner. But we stayed up finishing it and it is over with! So glad it is done.
McKel was lucky enough to be the Star of the Week in her Kindergarten class. This was a big deal to her and she put a lot of thought in to what snacks to provide for her class. Basically, she is supposed to bring snacks for the whole class every day of the week, bring in her favorite story for the teacher to read to the class, and also make a poster about herself that goes up in front of the classroom.
She was so excited to be the Star of the Week!
All About McKel
I love that she put for My friends are: Everyone in the class 😊 such a sweet girl!
We recently had some renters move out of our duplex so Mike jumped at the opportunity to do a complete renovation. The previous renters were not the cleanest, and we have a constant mold problem, so the walls had to be completely taken down and put back up. As renovation projects usually go... the more Mike dug in to the house, the more problems he found, so this turned out to be a back-breaking, expensive project. However, it needed to be done!
Here are some pics to show the "before" shots:
old ugly closet
kitchen
disgusting, moldy front room

bye bye old bathroom!
lots of mess!
more walls coming down...
Mike works some magic and does a ton of hard work to make this place amazing looking. Just wait for the "after" photos to come...
It's always so hard to catch things on video. By the time we have the video out, Keenan is no longer interested in doing whatever adorable thing he was just doing. He has been taking steps all the time, but we never seem to have the camera ready. He is so close to walking!! Exciting stuff. Here are a couple of attempts at trying to get the steps on video... of course he did many more steps without falling when we did not have the camera rolling!Dada is so great to keep working with him to get it down...
sleeping adorable baby - I think this guy wears himself out with all the excitement he finds in everything!
Keenan found this cool bucket that Mike was using to work on the duplex. Silly daddy, buckets are not for work, they are for play!!
See how happy it makes Keeney baby?
so much joy!
funny baby!
buckets can also be used for drums!
This guy is just the cutest little guy ever. We love our Keeney baby 💗
A special day for us girls! Mom gets to show up at the school to eat muffins with the girls before school. The girls have been looking forward to it for a long time. The muffins were tasty and the smiling faces of the girls were the best! So glad this mama could be there...
making a memory!
The girls also participated in a Talent Show at their school. They have been practicing the piano so I always think it is a good opportunity to practice performing in front of people. Mom was probably more nervous than they were. Avril could not even sleep the night before and had a sore tummy from the nerves. She got up and practiced the morning before. McKel just was like, "whatever, it'll be fine"... my two very different girls!!
Avril played, "Once Upon A Dream" by memory
She did amazing:
McKel just started taking piano not too long ago so I was so proud of her for playing at all. She played Yankee Doodle: So happy with all these girls are accomplishing. 💗 them...
This was McKel's project up on the wall that I just had to show a picture of because it is a mystery to me how she could even write this. For some reason she often writes things backwards. My brain cannot even comprehend how to write like that! She definitely has her own way of doing things, which is something special about her. This says something like, "the penguine ate 4 fish... I will have to ask McKel!
Sometimes I do pack our plate too full with activities for everyone, it is true. But I love making memories with the family. I love the kids getting to experience the most out of life. Anyway, here are some pics from some of our latest activities:
Keenan went to Grandma Valerie's house and got to visit with his cousin, Zayden
Zayden is all over the place now, walking everywhere...
Keenan often comes with me to watch the girls at gymnastics. He gets sad that he isn't able to join them
Sometimes I do let him do a little wandering out on the mats when nobody is around
this brings Keenan great joy
We also went to the kids' school spaghetti night, where we couldn't help but take a picture here....
I also got some free tickets to the Ute gymnastics team meet, so the girls and I had some fun watching the competition...
McKel was amazed and kept saying, "whoa, how do they even DO that?!?"
mommy and the girls at the gymnastics meet
the making of little Ute fans!
Also nana came for a visit recently and left something behind...
Keenan sent her a picture to remind her of what she forgot to bring with her back to Logan...
Just a few of the many things we have going on in our busy lives! 😊
Just a random video from a typical day at our house. Baby trying to crawl in the dishwasher... silliness from the girls... mom taking pictures... dad doing dishes...
And of course its always lovely when this happens... 😴
One of Keenan's latest cute things is the mamamama sound he makes over and over. It is adorable. It is always so hard to get things on video but I caught a snippet of it 😊Love this boy so much! 💗
We really wanted to get a photo of Keenan on his 9 month birthday, but the poor little guy has been so sick. He's had a fever that just won't go away. It is the most awful feeling to not know how to make him better! He is still a little cutie so we were able to get a couple good shots, but the poor little guy is just so sick and miserable it breaks my heart 💔
