Avril - Girls On The Run

Avril was very excited to start an after school running club called Girls On The Run.  I was a little surprised that this is something she wanted to do, but very happy about it!  Every Thursday after school she goes running with other girls from her school.  I mainly think she wanted to do this since her best friend Maeve is signed up... but anyway, she has been loving it so far and they are doing a 5K race at the end of the school year.  Mom is signed up to be Avril's running buddy for the final race. 😊

Our babysitter, Tamie, sent over these adorable pics of Keenan.  She said he got in to the car and waved to her and said, "Buh Bye!"  Oh my gosh, my heart just explodes at the cuteness of this little guy!!

Happy Easter!

The girls and I did an early Easter project at the Red Butte Garden.  The girls planted their very own tiny fairy gardens.  This was a HUGE hit with them.  I'm so glad they have fun activities like this so close to where we live.  Avril said it was her favorite class EVER. 😊  She wanted to buy all sorts of cute things to put in her fairy garden at the Red Butte gift shop.  I need to remember that for her birthday!

As usual, the girls enjoy taking mommy's phone and sneaking photos on there.  I looked at my pics to find a few ones I didn't know were on there 😉  A goofy Avril!

...and now for the Easter pics.  The Easter bunny brought baskets for all 3 kids - filled with candy and Playdough.  We ate lots of sweets and then dyed Easter eggs!

Keenan's 1 Year Photo Shoot

Apparently we chose one of the busiest photo shoot days of the year.  It was Easter weekend on a Saturday at JCPenney portraits and they were SWAMPED.
I set up the appointment weeks in advance and we still waited nearly 2 hours past our photo session time before we were seen.
It turned out to be alright though, because we took Bret for a little shopping trip at the store while we waited, and they gave us an amazing discount for our trouble.
Plus, the girl who took the photos could not have done a more amazing job.  Every photo was spectacular.  She really was able to capture the cuteness and personality of Keenan.
We brought a few fun props - the new Rocket toy that is his birthday gift from nana and papa.  It is his favorite new toy.  We also brought some balloons from his birthday party, as well as the giraffe that his big brother Bret gave him as a gift.
We even were able to snap a couple family photo shots while there.  I was so so happy for these priceless photos.  Keenan really was a champ at the photo shoot and we got some of the best pictures.  See for yourself!

 So so happy to have these photos taken.  My heart just melts with love for these people.  💗💗💗

After all these photos we were starving!  Keenan did such a great job eating quesadillas.  Mexican food never tasted so good!
