I learned some very interesting information - that Mike was a descendant of Milo Andrus, who's house was there at This is The Place. Milo was one of the early polygamist saints who settled Salt Lake Valley. Pretty fascinating!!
The girls' favorite part of the day was getting to hold the baby chicks. Once they got to hold those little cute birds they were hooked. Avril especially. She only wanted to hold the chicks and do nothing else. The rest of the day all I heard was how she would do ANYTHING to get to have a baby chick. I wasn't completely opposed to the idea but I figured it would take some convincing to get Mike to be on board. He agreed if the girls could keep the house clean for one month.
So we shall see...
Anyway, it was fun to see all the baby animals and it was a beautiful day to be out enjoying the sunshine with friends and family.
