It's not very often that I have the weekend off of work AND I have the girls :) We were so excited for the sunshine after months and months of a dreary and freezing winter. Even though it was still a wee bit nippy outside, we pulled out the new bikes we'd recently purchased for the girls. Mike had to make some adjustments so they worked for the girls... and Avril's bike is still a tad too big.

When the girls and I went to Hogle Zoo, I let them each buy one toy at the gift shop. It was no surprise that Avril chose a craft to work on. Today we pulled out these butterflies with paints and paintbrushes included, and went to work at painting them beautiful butterfly colors. Avril painted all 4 of hers and then moved on to McKel's, since McKel lost interest half way through her first one. Avril was just delighted! Love to see her smile.

Oh yeah, AND today was Prom Day for Bret!! How exciting :) Bret took his girlfriend four wheeling and then out to PF Chang's before the Prom. After the four wheeling his car was a bit dirty, so Mike helped him out with giving the car a quick cleaning. What a great dad...
