The Field Trip of Freezingness...

I volunteered to chaperone McKel's class field trip to the zoo.  This sounds like a fun day.  For me... it was not.  I was frozen half to death the whole time.  Somehow I was a bigger baby about it than the kids.  They kept wanting to play and run all around and I only wanted to stay in the in-door exhibits.  The craziest part is that the kids walked from their school to the zoo.  Apparently it is expensive to pay for a bus, so they figured it is only a mile or so away, so the kids could walk.  What troopers!
My group of kids...
full of energy!
McKel insisted I get a photo of her on the elephant trunk
Crazy kids!
McKel lucked out because all the other kids had to walk back to the school after the zoo trip, but I was able to give McKel a ride in the car.  She felt super cool and was so happy that I was able to be there.  This brought my heart joy and warmth, on the freezingest day ever!!
