The holidays are always exhausting! Thanksgiving is over and now time to start planning McKel's birthday and Christmas... and as always, lots of cleaning up to do! Avril and McKel like to take random photos and videos so here are a few more recent ones...

daddy loves to read to Keeney

big yawn...crawling shark bum babytime to eat! happy squeals!! Adorable. This is why it is hard to keep the house clean... Keenan LOVES to take everything possible out of the drawers. Cute, but not so fun to clean up!
Mom got to go to McKel's kindergarten Thanksgiving lunch. McKel was in charge of bringing the napkins. She made sure that we had enough for everyone in her class (she opened the package and counted them out 1 by 1). She was so excited to have her mom there for their special meal.
McKel loved her turkey hat
For the actual Family Thanksgiving we kept it pretty low key, but it turned out to be super fun! We had Mike's brother, Brenton over, with his family, as well as Bret. Mike made the turkey and I made all the side dishes. Brenton and Justine brought some mashed potatoes and pies. We had a white Thanksgiving, since we got quite a bit of snow! The girls were excited and got their snow clothes on to go outside and make snowmen. Keenan got to play with his cousin Zayden. The boys enjoyed watching some Thanksgiving Day football. Overall, a delicious meal and a successful day!

The shades of green on Avril's face are from green markers she colored on herself...

Hi Keeney!they need to clean their room... and McKel hasn't quite figured out how to take good videos. You may get dizzy!
taking care of this little cutie pie can be exhausting!!!
but cuddles with him are the best...
Mike and I enjoy going to look at properties on the weekends. I just love it... and Mike is a good sport about coming along with me. I'm not sure he loves it quite as much as I do. Anyway... we look and look and look for our dream home. This was a house we fell in love with in my dream neighborhood:
we ended up making an offer on this place, but in the end not deciding to go forward with it because we had another amazing opportunity open up...
this was the wet bar and wall mural downstairs 😲
Boxes make some of the best toys!

SOOO adorable!!
Hey dada! Videos are supposed to be of cute babies...
Looking for fun things to do on our last California day, we found out that the Jelly Belly Factory was not too far from us, so we thought we'd go check it out and take a tour. I have never seen so much candy in my life! Crazy how many jelly beans (and other candies, I learned while there) that factory makes.
Jelly Belly factory, here we come!
we all got hats. Keenan mostly just wanted to eat his.
Inside the factory:
now that is a LOT of jelly beans!
and a LOT of sugar!
there were even jelly belly portraits of famous people!

Next stop was on Winnemucca again... then on to home! The bad news was that somehow I got a HORRIBLE infection in my upper leg/buttox area. I am not sure how it happened... just bad luck, I guess. I am thinking I had some sort of cut or break out and the muddy Spartan race water was able to get in with some nasty bacteria and cause a massive infection. It looked like I had a baseball in my leg and I started burning up with a fever. I could not sleep the whole night at the hotel and was in severe pain. I did not know if I should go to the hospital in Winnemucca, or try to make it all the way back to Salt Lake City. We ended up waiting, but I was sure suffering the whole way. It made for a not so pleasant trip home.
Still, Keenan loved playing at the hotel room, as usual:
and of course more fun in the water with daddy:
Once we got back to SLC, we went straight to the hospital and they ended up cutting open the infection and trying to drain it. This caused little if no relief. The antibiotics kicking in were what really helped. It was scary and one of the most painful things I've ever had happen to me... glad to be over that!
