Avril's Birthday Party!

Avril insisted on having a Frozen themed birthday party this year.  We celebrated the weekend before her actual birthday, since that was my time to have the girls.  I was able to reserve the community center at our apartment complex for the occasion, and invited all the kids in Avril's kindergarten class and daycare.  The turnout was better than I'd expected.  We planned some fun activities, and decorated with snowflakes and sparkles.  It was a bit chaotic, I must say, with all those kids running around, but Avril said it was fun, so that makes it a success in my mind.Ü

I put together these invitations to pass out to friends and family...

At the apartment, before the festivities began... having some fun of our own with the grandparents!

Nana and Papa bought Avril a brand new bike, and brought it down for her.  Papa put the bike together, and Avril couldn't wait to hop on!

I attempted to do a fishtail braid for the first time... watched a YouTube video (of course) to figure it out... turned out kinda cute!

We even got a tiny bit of snow for the occasion!  Some neighbors assembled this leafy snowman :)

I love this picture of McKel.  She just LOVES to swing.  She looks so happy here :)
